Computer Telephony Integration (CTI)

Computer Telephony Integration (CTI) was developed to integrate telephone and computer systems. Originally developed for large contact centres to automate repetitive tasks, such as searching for customer records CTI provided huge benefits in saving time and therefore money.

Toshiba has extended this capability for general office staff. We have cost-effective solutions for a single user or implementation across your entire company.

Toshiba's Strata IP-CTX communications platform has been developed to support first and third party CTI capabilities. First party involves a simple USB connection between your PC and a digital featurephone. This offers a cost effective individual, entry level CTI solution and is perfect for small office development.

Third party involves a connection between the Strata IP-CTX and your network server allowing CTI capabilities to be offered to users across the entire network without the need for a physical connection at each desktop. This is a more scalable solution suitable for a larger, more complex business requirement.

Toshiba offers a range of CTI options using two main software suites: NetPhone and SmartPhone. Both are designed to improve the efficiency and productivity of any personnel who receive or make a significant number of calls.
